RUNNER-UP - Stroke Multi-Disciplinary Team, Ward 6

“The whole team has worked hard to improve the care delivered in over 100 different domains to meet national standards and to deliver care that we can be proud of. This was reflected in the recent publication of the national SSNAP stroke data which has seen the Trust’s overall performance score rise from an E to a C – only just missing out on a B.”

The Stroke Team were runners-up in the 2018 Brilliant Bradford staff awards.

WINNER - Patricia (Trish) Kay, housekeeper on Ward 6, Stroke and Neurology

“Trish is the glue that holds the ward together. She is constantly looking at ways to improve how patients with swallowing problems manage their modified diet and fluids and ensuring they get food from the correct texture menu. This is above and beyond her role but a massive help to the whole speech and language therapy team.”
