I graduated from the University of Leeds in 1989 and undertook all Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in Yorkshire. I have been in post as a consultant at Bradford Teaching Hospitals since 2000.
I have the following special interests:
- Colposcopy – A service for women with abnormal smears or where there are concerns that symptoms or an abnormal appearance of the cervix may be due to cervical disease
- Vulval disease – This is for women with vulval skin problems such as eczema, lichen sclerosis and lichen planus. I see women with vulval pain and also those whose vulval problems are causing difficulties with intercourse.
- Urogynaecology – I work closely with urogynaecology colleagues, specialist nurses, physios and urologists, and together we provide the full range of conservative and surgical treatment options for the overactive bladder, stress incontinence, prolapse and bladder pain syndrome.
