Qualifications: MBChB University of Glasgow, BSc (Hons) Imperial College at St Mary’s School of Medicine, MRCP (Glasgow), FRCR (London), PG Cert in Clinical Education (University of Leeds)
Shazia underwent her initial medical training at the University of Glasgow and, after completing her pre-registration posts in the same city, went on to complete general medical training at hospitals in Manchester, including the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
She was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (Glasgow), and then began her training in radiology, initially in Manchester before transferring to Yorkshire for the last year of her training where she specialised in breast imaging.
Shazia was appointed a consultant radiologist at Bradford Teaching Hospitals in 2015.
She is particularly passionate about promoting health and, in particular, breast health awareness.
Her other passion is teaching and she was awarded a PG Cert in clinical education in 2015.
