I joined the Child Psychology team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals in November 2019.
My role involves assessing young people for autism spectrum conditions. I enjoy working with children and families during difficult times in their lives, and I’m particularly keen to support families to overcome cultural and language barriers when accessing healthcare, and have focused my research interests in this area.
Prior to this role, I completed a BSc in Psychology and a Masters in Law, and I am currently working towards an MSc in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice at the University of Leeds.
I began my working career providing therapeutic input to individuals in secure forensic mental health services. I went on to assess adults in a learning disability service and worked therapeutically with residential staff and families to make positive changes for this population.
I have also conducted psychological assessments and therapeutic strategies for adults in an outpatient neuropsychology teaml across the Leeds/Bradford district.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time being creative with my young family. I love to travel and experience different cultures around the world.
