Richard joined the department in 1985 as a student dental technician.
He was awarded a HNC in Maxillofacial Technology in 1991, passing with a Distinction, and winning the British Dental Association prize for best advanced examination results in the country.
In 1992, he was awarded a City and Guilds Advanced Certificate in Maxillofacial Technology, passing with Distinction. Later the same year, he became a Licentiate of the City and Guilds of London Institute.
Richard’s innovative work in reconstructive science and implant prosthetics provide the Maxillofacial and Restorative Dentistry departments with the highest level of technical support and the Clinical Prosthetics Centre with national recognition in the field of anaplastology.
