I qualified in 2019 and received a Distinction in my Post-Graduate Certificate in Clinical Photography from Staffordshire University.

I have recently been successfully appointed as a Senior Clinical Photographer and won the Trust’s first ‘Brilliant Bradford’ trainee award; it was lovely to be recognised by my peers as being a skilled and valued photographer and I am now fully integrated into the team, taking on a broad range of responsibilities within my role.

These include studio and location photography using controlled lighting and standardised techniques to successfully document a wide range of conditions for various departments including Dermatology and Maxillo-Facial.

Now I have qualified I have begun undertaking specialist diagnostic ophthalmic imaging to support the diagnosis, research and treatment of a range of eye conditions, and look forward to developing my skills further in this area.

My previous expertise in post-production editing fashion and interior photography is invaluable for certain aspects of the job. I liaise with graphic designers when there is a requirement for specialised image manipulation of non-clinical images which are used in Trust publications and patient information.

I have driven forward the development of the Trust’s staff portrait photography procedure for the new electronic ward boards, and I thoroughly enjoy taking on new challenges and seeing a project through to completion.

I am a member of the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) and professionally registered with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS).
