I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS for over 30 years and during that time it has been my privilege to develop the Clinical Health Psychology service in Bradford for people with physical illness.
It is especially rewarding that patients allow us to work alongside them at some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Clinically I have experience of working in a number of specialties including palliative care, but now work mainly with people with persistent pain.
As well as having overall responsibility for the service, I am also interested in the role psychology can play in helping the wider NHS system with some of the complex organisational problems we are facing.
When not at work I enjoy watching football and rugby, gardening and walking in the countryside.
