Jorge studied medicine at the ITESM/University of Valencia. He completed training and a residency program in Microbiology/Infectious Diseases in Madrid, Spain and has worked as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Bradford Teaching Hospitals since January 2020.
Prior to joining the Trust, Jorge held a series of roles over an 18-year career in the medical field, including the role of Infectious Diseases consultant at Ruber/Quiron Hospital in Madrid (Spain), consultant in Infectious Diseases at Takhassusi Hospital in Saudi Arabia (KSA), and Consultant of Clinical Microbiology/Infectious Diseases Department at San Carlos University Hospital in Madrid, Spain.
Clinical interests: Sepsis management, multidrug-resistant organisms, HIV prevention and testing, Tuberculosis, bone and joint infections, biofilm-related infections, COVID-19.
Professional memberships: European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Spanish Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, British Society for Antimicrobial Therapy, Spanish Medical Council.
