I work in Medical Illustration at St Luke’s Hospital as administration manager and CPAG (Communication with Patients Approval Group) administrator.
I have worked for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for 23.5 years – 20 years as a medical Secretary in Orthopaedics at Bradford Royal Infirmary and the last 3.5 years as administrator manager in Medical Illustration.
I have an AMSPAR (Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrators and Receptionists) Diploma.
My role within Medical Illustration is completing the monthly financial charging and statistics, stock management, supporting the photographers, chaperoning patients as and when required, raising orders and helping the graphic designer with their roles in liaising with customers and printers when required. I also look after the external and internal patient information library, and customer feedback, and deal with estate queries and the general day-to-day administration work of the department.
In my own time I am a member of the music group at St Cuthbert’s Church, Wrose. We meet on Wednesday’s for practice and sing every Sunday morning. My other interests are house renovation, DIY, gardening and I enjoy nothing better than getting well wrapped up in the winter and going for a long walk!
