I am the Administration Manager in the Medical Illustration Department and the Communication with Patients Approval Group (CPAG) Administrator at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
I have 31 years’ continuous full time service with the Trust, including 20 years as a qualified AMSPAR Medical Secretary in Orthopaedics and 11 years in my current role.
I manage the Medical Illustration, MID scheduling, and CPAG email accounts, personally handling all patient referrals, enquiries and telephone calls. I ensure communications are managed promptly and professionally, often within the same day, using experience and sound judgement to provide accurate information and refer queries to the appropriate qualified staff when required.
I support key departmental processes and provide administrative support to the Medical Illustration Department including the Medical Photographers and Graphic Designers.
I work closely with the Access to Health Records teams, Consultants, Police, Bradford Council Social Care, and the Legal Services Department in relation to requests for clinical images, ensuring compliance with governance and confidentiality requirements.
I also fulfil the role of CPAG Administrator, supporting the approval and governance process for patient information resources.
