Dawn started her working life in Sales and Marketing, taking a change of direction in her thirties to Social Work before qualifying as a Therapeutic Counsellor in which field she worked for several years. For the last eighteen years, she worked as a self-employed Funeral Celebrant in the Bradford area.
Being elected as a District Councillor in May this year has given Dawn the opportunity to continue working directly with people in the borough, assisting them personally as well as sitting on panels and committees which affect certain groups and individuals and contributing to the council decisions that will affect everyone.
She also represents Bradford in the Fire And Rescue Service as well as The Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation.
