This Father’s Day, Bradford Hospitals Charity is inviting local people to take part in its heartfelt “Dear Dad” campaign, celebrating, remembering and thanking the dads and father figures who mean so much.
With Father’s Day (21 June) just around the corner, the campaign gives people the space to honour their dads, with the option to help support patients and families who will need care at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the future.
Whether a father has been supported through recovery, cared for with compassion during a difficult time, works within the Trust, or is simply someone to celebrate and remember, the campaign offers a meaningful way to pay tribute.
As part of the campaign, people can share personal messages and upload photos. Ellison shared a heartfelt message about her father Phil:
Thank you for stepping up and becoming that dad I didn’t have. I’m so thankful for you. Thank you so much, you’re amazing. I love you.
Supporters can also make a donation in honour of their dad, helping Bradford Hospitals Charity continue to provide compassionate care for patients and families, as well as recognising the dedication of NHS staff who make that care possible every day.
One supporter, Laura, shared a message and donation in memory of her father:
In loving memory of my dear Dad Carlos, who passed away at Bradford Royal Infirmary, 25 years ago. The kindness and compassion shown to him by the nursing staff during his final days will never be forgotten. This donation is made in his honour, for all the families who will need that same care in the future. Te quiero y te echo de menos, Papá.
Bradford Hospitals Charity is the official charity partner for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, funding over and above what is routinely provided by the NHS – from specialist medical equipment, to upgrading spaces, or providing distractions for children in hospital.
The “Dear Dad” campaign aims not only to celebrate fathers past and present but also to ensure that future families receive the same high level of care and support when they need it most. To leave a free message and photo, or make a donation, visit deardad2026.dedicationpage.org (Much Loved).
