Having joined the Medical Illustrations team here as a trainee, I undertook my PG Cert in Clinical Photography with the University of Staffordshire and am now a qualified clinical photographer. During my training I was fortunate to gain a working day to day experience with my wonderful colleagues which expanded my technical skills through hands on learning in a wide range of settings including theatres, wards, the ophthalmic department and our clinical studio based at St Lukes Hospital.
During my second year at the University of Bradford where I studied Photography for Digital Media, I started working as a freelance photographer. These past few years I have undertaken different photography jobs and projects such as events, weddings, portraits, editorial, lifestyle and product shoots.
After working in the industry for many years and also teaching photography and media across schools I am excited for my new role as a qualified clinical photographer where I am continuously striving to build my knowledge and skills.
