For the first round-up of August, on this year’s Yorkshire Day, we’re celebrating our ex-armed services colleagues, the support they give patients who are veterans, and how the Trust is proud to be Veteran Aware.
Earlier this year, we celebrated Armed Forces Day with a special event at Bradford Royal Infirmary to honour our ex-service colleagues and launch our Veterans Network: an initiative to support ex-service colleagues across the Trust and remind people that we are officially Veteran Aware accredited.
We hear from Complaints Lead, Fiona Mattison and Clinical Site Matron, Kayleigh Lawton about how the Trust has recognised the skills and abilities they bring from their former lives and how they’re proud to be veterans and support colleagues and patients who are also ex-services.
