
This month’s podcast is dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the Bradford City fire disaster 40 years ago, on 11 May 1985, and to recognise the many people working at Bradford Teaching Hospitals at the time who helped the victims.
Mel chats to Sister Angela O’Neill, now semi-retired but still working at the Trust, who was a 21-year-old enrolled nurse at the time of the Bradford Fire and found herself at the heart of the hospital’s response.
We will also hear the recollections of Matthew Wildman, the last surviving person to be pulled out of the stadium fire.
