Catheterisation Lab
General Information
Provides a diagnostic imaging service using colour coded duplex ultrasound of peripheral vascular system for vascular (heart), renal (kidney’s), care of the elderly and radiology teams. Also provides diagnostic blood flow pressure assessment testing. The service is provided in the form of outpatient appointments, an acute fast-track service and walk-in clinics. There is also a self-referral patient service for graft patients. The service is located within the medical physics department.

Vascular Studies |
Includes cardiac catheterisation studies. Blood vessels are cannulated and strictures and defects identified using specialist X-ray techniques. |
