General Information

The Respiratory Department is based across two sites in Bradford, Bradford Royal Infirmary & St Luke’s Hospital.

• The Department is Calman Centre for Lung Cancer Management.
• There are weekly Multi-disciplinary Team meetings that are video linked regionally
• The Cardio Respiratory Department offers a wide range of tests using a variety of specialist equipment

• We have a team of  nurses who manage a variety of conditions – Respiratory Nurse Specialists, Lung Cancer Nurse Specialists & TB Nurse Specialists
• We have ward based education from these specialists for patients staff and relatives
• We have close links to colleagues in PCT and other hospitals
• We have a well established COPD pathway which is fully intergrated across Primary & Secondary Care, with a successful early discharge scheme
• Respiratory Nurse led Clinics
• Specialist Nurse led Oxygen therapy assessment
• Bipap availability with training course for all staff
