October 12th, 2017Patients, visitors and staff using our buildings and services will soon be able to find out just how accessible they are thanks to a new online tool. The free accessibility checker is being created by national disability organisation DisabledGo, and is due to go live in 2018. October 9th, 2017Chocolates, magazines, grapes… whatever you bring into hospital, make sure it’s not norovirus. Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is asking people to help them protect patients and staff from infection by avoiding coming into hospital if you are suffering with vomiting or diarrhoea. The Trust, which runs Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke’s Hospital and Westwood Park and Westbourne Green community hospitals, is asking anyone planning to visit any of their hospitals to stay at home if they or their family members have had diarrhoea, vomiting or ‘flu-like’ symptoms in the previous four days.

September 15th, 2017Specialists at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are raising awareness of a little-known cancer which is on the increase both in the UK and worldwide. Unlike other cancers, there is worryingly low awareness of the signs and symptoms of head and neck cancer among the general public. That’s why the head and neck cancer medical team at the Trust are supporting European Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week, from 18-22 September, by running an information display and answering people’s questions at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI).

The wallets were developed by the MAMA Academy – a charity that supports mums and midwives to help babies arrive safely and reduce stillbirths.
