What we do

Epilepsy and seizures

Our service offers psychological treatment for people living with epilepsy who are experiencing distress as a result of their condition and are willing to engage in psychological treatment.

What does the service offer?

We provide psychological therapy and cognitive assessments (memory and thinking skills). Like many health conditions, seizures can have a big impact on people’s lives and cause stress and emotional difficulties. Many people with seizures find it useful to work with a psychologist to develop helpful ways of coping and reduce the impact of their health condition.

Where are patients seen?

Appointments take place at The Ridge Medical Practice (Cousen Road, Bradford), and Shipley Health Centre.

How to make a referral

Referrals are accepted from Bradford Teaching Hospitals’ consultant neurologists and clinicians from the Bradford Community Epilepsy Service.
