Bradford Hospitals’ selfless and kind-hearted volunteers have been honoured for their unstinting devotion and service.
More than 70 volunteers from Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust were celebrated at a special ceremony held at Bradford City Football Club.
The Trust has a dedicated army of almost 500 volunteers, each of them donating on average four hours per week, which adds up to an amazing 104,000 hours of time over the past year.

£2m investment in Bradford Royal Infirmary's Emergency Department

A £2m refurbishment of Bradford Royal Infirmary's Emergency Department (ED) is currently underway as part of an ambitious vision to create a more efficient acute medicine service for the people of Bradford.   Work started on the project in November and will be completed in four phases with a current finish date of this autumn.

New £28m wing enters next key construction phase

Work has started on the steel structure by fitting the 2,450 steel pieces - which would run to 6.4 miles if laid end-to-end and weigh an incredible 630 tonnes, that's the equivalent of more than 50 double decker buses.
