St Luke’s gets a child-friendly face-lift
A new multi-coloured mural is gracing the walls of the children’s outpatients department at St Luke’s Hospital.
The collage was put together by two Bradford University Art College students who painted the murals on the walls of the play area and entrance.
Play Leader Joanne Mortimer, said: “We wanted to make the environment more child-friendly, colourful and welcoming.
“Art is really important to patients as it enhances the experience for children & families visiting the hospital, helping to reduce anxiety and make their visit a more positive one.
“I’d also like to thank the Bradford Art College Students, Lucy Micallef & Natalie Thornton, for their mural painting.
“They very kindly designed & carried out the work during their own time and without payment. For this we are extremely grateful.”
