Informing the public about Foundation Trust service delivery

As part of our commitment to informing the public about Foundation Trust service delivery we are publishing monthly performance information for our Accident and Emergency Department against National Quality Indicators.

The Indicators have been devised by the Department of Health to help us monitor and improve our service and also to let you see how we’re doing.

A number of thresholds have been set and we publish our outcomes to let you know whether or not our performance has met the threshold.  Whether the required threshold has been met or not, we are continuously working to improve all our services and details of ongoing projects will also be published.

Not meeting any particular threshold is not a sign of a poor quality service as we aim to ensure every one of our patients is seen in an efficient and safe environment.  We use the performance information to prioritise our areas for improvement.
