Corrie Stars talk to Radio Royal and St Luke's Sound during visit to Bradford care home
Television actor Alan Halsall, better known as Coronation Street's hapless mechanic Tyrone Dobbs, added a touch of TV magic to a specially-themed Coronation Street lunch at Mill View care home in Bradford recently.
Along with his real-life wife and British actress, Lucy-Jo Hudson - best known for her role as Katy Harris in Coronation Street and as vet Rosie Trevanion in Wild At Heart - Alan sat down to a Betty's Hotpot lunch with the home's residents.
The actors spent Saturday morning with residents and their families signing memorabilia and autographs, whilst also getting to know those who work at Mill View.
The duo were also interviewed by Radio Royal and St Luke’s presenters, George Sumner, Chris Fisher and Chris Benson during their visit to the care home.
Lucy-Jo and Alan’s interviews are currently being played out on Channel 1 of Bradford Royal Infirmary’s patient bedside televisions, while St Luke’s patients can access St Luke’s Sound hospital radio through Channel 14.
Mill View care home, on Bolton Lane, offers 25 beds for general
purpose residential care and a further 25 specialist beds for those
living with dementia.
