Caring hearts to attend Valentine-themed ball
PEC directors Sohan Panesar (right) and Suki Panesar take the plunge for charity. The pair raised over £900 in July for the Cardiac Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary by swimming with 12.5 ft sharks – without a cage!
Over 300 people have booked to attend a Valentine-themed charity ball on Friday 15 February. The sold-out spectacular is the finale to a Bradford company’s campaign to raise funds for the Cardiac Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The ball, hosted by Bradford-based contracting, manufacturing and shopfitting business PEC, marks the end of a year of extraordinary fundraising events which has seen staff, clients and suppliers sky-diving, swimming with sharks, climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks and running the Bradford 10k.
PEC’s managing director Sohan Panesar said: “Everyone has pushed themselves to their limit this year, and we are grateful for all the donations we have received in the run-up to ‘the main event’. We’re hoping to raise thousands for the team at the Cardiac Unit who do such wonderful work in our community, so it should be a memorable evening and a fitting climax to our campaign.”
