The Acute Surgery Directorate provides emergency, elective, general, specialist, surgical, gastroenterological and administrative services in Bradford and its environs.  The Directorate comprises of the following wards and services:

• Ward 5 - Day Case Surgery
• Ward 8 - Male General Surgery
• Ward 11 - Female General Surgery
• Ward 14 - Urology Services
• Ward 20 - Acute Surgical Assessment Unit
• Ward 21 - Progressive Care Unit
• Ward 25 - Breast Care Unit
• Ward 26 - Vascular Services
• Gastroenterology/Endoscopy
• Bowel Cancer Screening Programme
• Digestive Disease Centre (DDC) - providing 8 beds on Wards 8 and 11, the DDC allows the integrated care of patients with obstructive jaundice,  irritable bowel syndrome and gastrointestinal bleeding.
